During the early phases of the lockdown in 2020, the USPS was amidst a financial crisis. Shingo Brown, artist, and owner of Hard Gallery in Detroit, came up with an idea to help support the USPS by gathering 40 local Detroit artists and randomly pairing them up live on Instagram, draft style. Each artist would start a piece and send off the half-completed piece to their partner through USPS.
Two final pieces were created and showcased in a virtual gallery and sold for donations. I was paired with illustrator Andrea Del Rio. Together with my bold, colorful graphic style and her intricate portraits, we created Poppy and Fern.
